NATIONAL PARK + THE END OF THE WORLD TRAIN

Starting our excursion with the pickup at the Hotel, we will travel the first 8km and, next to the Ushuaia Golf Club, we will arrive at THE END OF THE WORLD TRAIN station.

After forty years without working, in 1994, the Train of the End of the World resumed part of the old route made by the old train prisoners used to travel on, which departed from the Ushuaia prison, located in the center of the city, towards the hillside of Monte Susana, with the aim of obtaining materials (wood and stone) for its construction. Once board, you can listen to the history of the prisoners who came to cut wood to this area every day, and enjoy magnificent landscapes, composed of the zigzagging Pipo River, the La Macarena waterfall, the tree cementery and the majestic forest of lenga. On this way, you will be able to visit an inaccessible part of the Tierra del Fuego National Park, where you can enjoy this experience aboard a vintage railroad, with its steam locomotives and elegant cars that have large windows and an individual audio system, which offers the possibility to listen to the narration in 7 different languages, in order not only to appreciate the nature that surrounds it, but also to learn a very important part of the history of Ushuaia.

Once we arrive to National Park Station (end of the train excursion) we will visit Ensenada Bay, Acigami Lake (glacial lake of more than 5 square km), the Alakush Interpretation Center, where we will have for approximately 30 minutes to spare in the service area and then continue to Lapataia Bay, end of Pan-American Route N 3. From there, once we have crossed the walkways, we will begin the return to the city of Ushuaia.
